Standing Grantee Call:
Planning for Future Long Term Care Support Needs (October 6, 2005) Call TopicAging and Disability Resource Centers are tasked with serving populations of all ages regardless of income. This teleconference served as a technical assistance tool to introduce ADRCs to techniques and strategies to assist consumers with planning for their future long term care needs; this particularly includes the private pay consumer. The call included discussions of consumers’ perceptions regarding LTC planning, initiatives focusing on LTC planning (SHIPs and the “Own Your Future” campaign), a spotlight on North Carolina’s efforts at managing a visible LTC future planning campaign; and a facilitated question-and-answer segment.

The pilot project will conduct consumer education campaigns in five states - Arkansas, Idaho, Nevada, New Jersey, and Virginia.
