Mississippi ADRC Focus Group Report

In May 2008, the Institute for Disability Studies (IDS) conducted three focus groups in the Central Mississippi Planning and Development District / Area Agency on Aging (CMPDD/AAA) service area. It was designed to gather information from individuals with disabilities and older individuals concerning the status of home and community based services and independent living related services supporting individuals’ desire and efforts to maintain independent living status and avoid institutionalization. Discussion was facilitated by IDS and focused on AoA factors impacting successful Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) implementation: visibility and trust, ease of access, responsiveness, and effectiveness.

Hawaii Streamlining and Access Focus Groups Results

Five focus groups were held throughout the Island of Oahu. It was determined that each focus group should be relatively homogeneous in make-up in order to maximize the potential for shared experiences.
