Arkansas Options Counseling Booklet - "You Have Some Very Good Choices In Living"

The resource goes along with the state's new law requiring that options counseling be offered to anyone entering a nursing home. Arkansas conducted focus groups with consumers across the state to help them develop this booklet.

MN Bulletin on Preadmission Screening Requirement for Nursing Facility Admission (December 23, 2004)

This 2004 instructional bulletin from the Minnesota Department of Human Services explained a new requirement. Preadmission screening is a requirement for nursing facility admission, through long term care consultation. Starting in 2005, nursing facility claims must show that these requirements have been met, or providers may not charge patients for nursing facility stays, regardless of the payer source.

MN Bulletin Exempting Short-Term Nursing Facilities from Preadmission Screening Requirement (June 17, 2002)

This 2002 instructional bulletin from the Minnesota Department of Human Services explains new legislation exempting certain short-term nursing facility admissions from the general preadmission screening requirement.
