This call provided a summary of issues related to mental illness in older adults. A speaker from the Administration on Aging (AoA) discussed activities in mental health, while a speaker from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) discussed initiatives and activities concerning older adults.

- Conference session or workshop concerning dependencies such as substance abuse or compulsive gambling as they affect the elderly or disabled may be useful.
