Suburban ADRC – Partnership between AgeOptions (AAA) and Progress Center for Independent Living (CIL)

• Cross-Education of Progress Center Staff about Aging (PDF) or (Powerpoint) – Training was conducted by AgeOptions staff - 26 staff members were present in two sessions.
• Cross-Education of AgeOptions Staff about Disability (PDF) or (Powerpoint) – Training was conducted by Progress Center on Independent Living, 30 members were present.
• ADRC Training in six region of Suburban Cook County – 144 case management, caregiver specialist, red-tape cutters, intake staff and support staff attended the training.

• Disability Panel – A panel that included representatives of mobility, visual and hearing impairments.
• Chronic Disease Prevention, a disability resource
• Mutual resource inventory sharing between Progress Center and AgeOptions.
• Aging and disability resources were identified and provided at all of the above mentioned trainings.
• Development of the process for information exchange and necessary protocols for future maintenance of the resource database are in process.
