Starting Financial Management Services in CLP & VDHCBS: Strategic Considerations

This June 2, 2010 webinar presented strategies for program administrators to consider as they determine how to provide Financial Management Services in their Community Living and Veteran Directed HCBS programs. Topics include how to decide on a model of FMS (Agency with Choice or Fiscal/Employer Agent?), whether to contract for Financial Management Services, provide them "in-house" at the AAA, or use a hybrid approach. The call also explores two methods for procuring Financial Management Services.

Cash and Counseling Final Report

This is the final report on the original Cash and Counseling demonstration. It summarizes the findings from five years of research by Mathematica Policy Research, Inc. on how each of the three demonstration states implemented its program, and how the programs have affected the consumers who participated, the consumers’ paid and unpaid caregivers, and the costs to Medicaid.
